Before you start
Bring your own example and an account for the tool, where needed. These lessons are free to read; external tools may charge or limit access. Use non-sensitive material that you have permission to share. Menu labels and features can change.
Follow the steps
- Choose one small task: an appointment reminder, product description or event invitation. Write down the real facts before opening your AI tool.
- Open ChatGPT and start a new conversation. Paste the template below, replacing every bracket with your own information.
- Read the draft against your facts. Ask for one specific improvement, such as a shorter message or a clearer next step.
- Save the final prompt alongside the approved result so you can repeat the task with new inputs.
Your copy-and-use prompt
Replace the bracketed fields with your own details.
Help me write [deliverable] for [audience]. Goal: [what the reader should do]. Verified facts: [details]. Tone: [style]. Format: [length and structure]. Do not invent prices, dates, results or testimonials. If an essential fact is missing, ask me before drafting.
Worked example: a simple appointment reminder
Fictional practice inputs: Example Detail Studio, Saturday at 10am, ask the customer to reply YES. Do not add a price or address.
A possible output
Hi! A quick reminder about your appointment with Example Detail Studio this Saturday at 10am. Please reply YES to confirm. Thank you!
Check the name, time and requested action against your inputs. Reject any invented cancellation policy. This is an illustration, not a guaranteed AI response.
Try it yourself
Create a WhatsApp reminder for a fictional Saturday workshop. Supply a time, venue and reply deadline yourself.
Check your result
Check all dates, prices and contact details. Remove any remaining bracket placeholders.
