Before you start
Bring your own example and an account for the tool, where needed. These lessons are free to read; external tools may charge or limit access. Use non-sensitive material that you have permission to share. Menu labels and features can change.
Follow the steps
- Choose one purpose and one placement, such as a vertical Instagram promotion. List the facts that must appear in the final design.
- Write a visual brief covering subject, composition, lighting, colour and space for text. Avoid requesting a real person’s likeness without permission.
- Generate a background or concept in a tool you can access. Do not assume generated words, product proportions or logos are accurate.
- Add your verified wording and brand assets in a design editor. Inspect the final version at its intended viewing size.
